Conducting The Agile Negotiation Processes Involved In The BPEL4WS Model On a Multi-agent Platform

چکیده
A key requirement for current e-Business is to build interoperable e-Business processes for the emerging business models within different enterprise boundaries. Negotiation processes are at the core of the inter-operable e-Business. While research on negotiation is not new, the vast majority of the studies to date have been based on the multi-agent platform. However, it is very common that negotiation processes are interleaved with other business processes that are automated normally by a workflow system. Therefore, the inter-operability with other internaland externalsystems is critical in such case, which may require extra efforts on the integration issues. In this paper, we propose an approach for building a workflow system with negotiation processes incorporating the BPEL4WS[8], a standard for building and managing web service based business processes, on a multiagent platform in a pure distributed manner. By adapting our approach, negotiation process can be involved in the BPEL4WS process and deployed seamlessly. The existing work on negotiation based on multi-agent system also can be adapted directly with our approach. Improving Agent Performance for Multi-Resource Negotiation Using Learning Automata and Case-Based Reasoning
In electronic commerce markets, agents often should acquire multiple resources to fulfil a high-level task. In order to attain such resources they need to compete with each other. In multi-agent environments, in which competition is involved, negotiation would be an interaction between agents in order to reach an agreement on resource allocation and to be coordinated with each other. In recent ...
متن کاملA Context-aware Architecture for Mental Model Sharing through Semantic Movement in Intelligent Agents
Recent studies in multi-agent systems are paying increasingly more attention to the paradigm of designing intelligent agents with human inspired concepts. One of the main cognitive concepts driving the core of many recent approaches in multi agent systems is shared mental models. In this paper, we propose an architecture for sharing mental models based on a new concept called semantic movement....

Nowadays, Virtual Enterprise (VE) is a crucial paradigm of business management in agile environment. In this paper, we focus on negotiation process in VE formulation as a basic research to clarify its effective management. Each enterprise in VE is defined as agent with multi-utilities and a framework of multi-agent programming with game theoretic approach is newly proposed as negotiation algori...
متن کاملEnacting the Distributed Business Workflows Using BPEL4WS on the Multi-agent Platform
This paper describes the development of a distributed multi-agent workflow enactment mechanism using the BPEL4WS[1] specification. It demonstrates that a multi-agent protocol (Lightweight Coordination Calculus (LCC)[8]) can be used to interpret a BPEL4WS specification to enable distributed business workflow[5] using web services[2] composition on the multi-agent platform. The key difference bet...
